The PowerStore 500T is an entry PowerStore T‑series all‑flash NVMe storage appliance that delivers enterprise‑class features and data services in a compact, affordable 2U form factor.
The 500T supports mixed workloads including virtualized servers, VDI, file shares, databases, and container workloads on a single appliance, making it a strong “do‑it‑all” platform for smaller sites.
The 500T offers lower CPU and memory than larger models but uses the same PowerStoreOS software, data reduction, and NVMe architecture, so you get the same feature set in a smaller configuration.

Not necessarily. Contact our team and we’ll walk you through how pre‑owned drives may impact your specific Dell warranty coverage.

Standard PowerStore T and X appliances use a 2U base enclosure with dual active‑active nodes and 25 x 2.5‑inch NVMe drive slots in the front.

PowerStore uses dual‑ported NVMe SSDs and can also use NVMe storage class memory (SCM) drives; specific configurations vary by model and generati

Depending on the model, a PowerStore appliance can scale up to around 93–97 drives including expansion enclosures, with exact limits defined per model in the spec sheet.

PowerStore T models are deployed as traditional SAN/NAS appliances, while PowerStore X models include an embedded VMware ESXi hypervisor, allowing applications to run directly on the array.

PowerStore is commonly used for virtualized infrastructure (VMware), databases, file services, and mixed workloads that benefit from low‑latency all‑flash performance and unified block/file capabilities.
